BEDFORD HOTEL AND KINGS ROAD.

Note the recently built promenade wall and compare it with the gravel bank in the 1866 photograph (and especially photographs JG_01_57 and 58). Beach then extended to the foot of this wall. The building on the extreme right was rebuilt in 1876 as the New Club. The present line of arches under the promenade were not constructed until 1892.
