THE EVOLUTION OF MEDINA ESPLANADE.

At the time of this photograph, early in the present century, there was no direct access along the beach, between the promenade opposite Fourth Avenue and the newly constructed Kings Esplanade commencing at Medina Terrace. This was because the long gardens of the houses of Mills Terrace extended almost to high water mark.
