This photograph shows part of the alarm system. On the wall was a numbered list of the locations of the street fire alarms, which actuated the large wall bell. Note the pen, inkwell and log book on the left.
The year of these photographs is not known, but it is suggested that they date from just before the 1914 -18 War.
