These three photographs provide a good illustration of how slowly officialdom moves in the 1960s and ‘70s. It having been stated in 1964 that the portion of this busy road between the Southwick boundary and Olive Road, would soon be widened, I had this photograph taken on 14 July 1964.
This looks east along the Old Shoreham Road.
