PRESTON ROAD

Photographs of 1959, when the commercial invasion of this one-time quiet road of Victorian villas was just beginning. This photograph shows a view along the road, showing six pairs of semi-detached houses, 129 –151. Then, the first office building, 153, sticking out like a sore thumb.
