WEST PIER c. 1868-1872

Five cameo photographs of the Pier and the adjoining beach at low tide. Obviously taken soon after the opening of the pier the exact year is unknown. The dress of the people on the beach suggests the period 1868-1872. Children’s habits do not seem to change very much.
