THE GRAND HOTEL c. 1870

The original photograph, of which this is a copy, was taken within a year or two of the opening of the Grand Hotel. The stone pillars and entrance are still there now, nearly 90 years afterwards, though they are obscured from Kings Road by the pillars and roof of the sun terrace, added in recent times.
