NORTH STREET

The focal point of these three photographs, dating from about 1870, is the Clarence Hotel, while these provide a good view of North Street from Bond Street almost up to the Clock Tower.
Note the extremely dirty condition of the roads and the cobbled crossing, kerbs and gutter channels.
