EDWARD STREET

Old houses, 142/147, Edward Street, between Chapel Street and High Street. When I had these photographed on March 19, 1967, they seemed destined for early removal but they are still with us as I write in 1983. No longer can 20 cigarettes be bought for 4/3d. [21p.]
