Alderman J. Burberry's butcher's shop at 23 Carlton Hill, in 1911. This stood at the corner of Nelson Place and is seen in another photograph on a later page. The worthy Alderman was in business here for nearly 50 years, from 1882 until 1931. Demolished 1938.
