MARINE VIEW

Almost at the top of Carlton Hill, stood these old cottages in Marine View. It was somewhat inaptly named though doubtless a glimpse of the sea could be got in clear weather.
All the houses on the west side were demolished in 1936 and the few left on the east side a year or two later. This photograph. taken in 1935 shows Nos. 14 and 15, tucked away in the court at the top of the street.
