QUEENS PARK

The original of the photograph must date from the 1850s. It was printed from a wax paper negative, one of several taken about 1855. Compare this with the photograph on the previous page which we know dates from 1863. Look at the windows on the first floor of Pennant Lodge (left). There are only four, whereas in the Fox photo there are six, indicating that there had been an extension to the building.
