CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Originated in 1869, when it was known as the Hospital for Sick Children, the old building was soon superseded by the above which was erected in 1881 and renamed the Royal Alexandra Hospital, after the Princess of Wales. The photograph above dates from 1900.
