MILTON HOUSE, CLARENCE STREET

A rear view of Milton House, Clarence Street, as it appeared in 1842. This is a photograph of a drawing by Mrs Tupper, mother of Martin Tupper, Poet and Author, who lived in this house from 1841 until 1844. The house still stands though very much changed and much of the large garden is now covered with garages and similar outbuildings.
