ST. PETERS CHURCH

The date of this photograph is unknown. The low gas lamp suggests a period prior to 1895. The church appears here in the form in which it was designed by Sir Charles Barry in 1824. Certainly there is no sign of the new Chancel, by George Somers Clarke, which was added in 1906.
The railings were removed in 1922.
