SURRENDEN CRESCENT AREA

The Model T Ford was standing at the foot of Surrenden Crescent, at the junction with London Road, in 1924. At this time there were just eight houses in the Crescent, midway on the north side, one of which dated from before 1914. The white gate gave access to the large field seen in the other photographs. This field is now the public open space between Surrenden Crescent and Peacock Lane.
