PALACE PIER

Another of the many photographs taken of this Pier in the early years of the century. Presumably it dates from before 1906, when the windscreen running down the centre of the decking was erected. The pedestrians seem to be well wrapped up with little attention being paid to the ice-cream seller standing forlornly by her kerbside handcart.
