MADEIRA DRIVE

A very fine view of the eastern sea front. In this photograph can be seen the Aquarium, Marine Parade and the terraces as far as Kemp Town, and part of the Chain Pier. The Palace Pier, of course, had yet to be built. There are no clues to the date of this photograph, which could have been taken in the late 1870s of the 1880s.
