BRIGHTON AQUARIUM

Two photographs taken within a year of each other. The view of the Aquarium and central island is dated 1926. At this period Southdown buses terminated in Madeira Drive alongside the Aquarium where they caused considerable traffic congestion until moved to Pool valley in 1929. The No. 8 bus ran up Montpelier Road and finished at Seven Dials.
