GRAND JUNCTION ROAD AND THE BEACH

This is yet another photograph of the beach looking west from the Chain Pier. Amongst other things it shows Chain Pier Toll House and old Brill’s Baths protruding from the bottom of East Street. Work on the widening of Kings Road can be seen in progress so it is safe to date this as between 1864 and 1867.
