MARKET STREET

On this corner (Bartholomew’s/Market Street) formerly stood a tavern, The Fishmongers Hall, which is seen on other pages. This was demolished in 1934. Later these temporary buildings were erected on the cleared site. Photographed in September 1969 they were removed during the building of the Ramada Hotel and Batholomew Square in 1987.
