BEACH COTTAGES, KINGSWAY

Close-up view of one of the old cottages. Adjoining it was a smith’s shop and beyond, the premises of Mr. Thwaites, the boat builder. Coastguards at one time occupied the house in the background. Bricks from the cottage shown are now in the floor of the Sussex Room in the Hove Museum. Date of this photograph – 1920.
