Here can be seen the North wall of the barn and Church Road. It is probable that the manhole seen in the road is that which is now in Church Road at the entrance to Connaught Road.
To the east are old farm buildings on the site of the later Lewers Terrace. The chimneys may be of Hove Cottage. The photographs probably date from the 1890s.
