This was the first school playing field. No clue as to the period, but certainly before 1900. The field was to the west of Dyke Road, between Hill Brow and Tongdean Road, adjoining Tongdean Farm, parts of which are seen in the background. Now covered by the large houses in Dyke Road Avenue, Hove.
