SURRENDEN ROAD

Behind these houses and those in Loder Road was a plot of undeveloped land that adjoined the playing field of Dorothy Stringer School. There was no access to this land until the house seen here, No.50, was removed, but since then the cul-de-sac known as Poplar Close consisting of eight houses has been built. Photographed 21 August 1960. Demolished 1961.
