BOTH ENDS OF NORTH STREET

A photograph at the foot of the street, about 80 years earlier. The clues, Folthorp’s on the right and the newly built Countess of Huntingdon’s Church on the left, suggest a period between 1871 and 1878. The view is westwards, from Castle Square.
