There is no evidence of the date of this photograph, but probably the period is between 1900 and 1910. Here were the offices of the Brighton Gazette. The Editor, W. J. Towner is the man in the trap wearing the top hat. The part of the ground floor occupied by the Yorkshire Coal Company was numbered 150a.
