NORTH STREET

The Princes Place Bottleneck.
The very severe constriction of North Street, between Princes Place and Pavilion Buildings. This photograph shows the extent of the protrusion into North Street, which had persisted for 50 years since the removal of old houses between princes Place and new Road in 1879. These buildings were demolished in 1930.
