HEREFORD STREET AREA, MANCHESTER ROW & CRESCENT COTTAGES

Crescent Cottages, looking from Upper Bedford Street to Montague Place at the same period. These are the houses, the backs of which are shown in the adjoining photograph. Admittedly somewhat better than the hovels of Manchester Row they were allowed to endure until 1934 when they were swept away.
