RIFLE BUTT ROAD

These three photographs of 21 July 1968, provide an interesting comparison with the 1925 photograph of the entire road seen on another page. After the clearance at the south end of the road in the 1930’s, Rifle Butt Road enjoyed about 30 years of comparative calm, until threatened by the coming of the Marina.
