EDWARD STREET

Almost exactly opposite the previous photograph, at the corner of Henry Street, the pawnbroking and furniture dealing business of T.P. Lucas at 17 & 18, Edward Street, is seen here, about 1909. A study of the prices shown is of interest. When the premises were removed in 1939, Mr Lucas simply moved across the street to 170, almost next door to the building seen in the previous photograph.
