TWO ENDS OF NORTH ROAD - FREDERICK STREET

This photograph of 1911 shows slum houses 21/24 Frederick Street, shortly before their removal. There were a number of dilapidated old houses on the west side of the street at that period. Several of these houses were earlier removed to make way for the outpatients department of the Eye Hospital shown on the extreme left.
