ROBERTSON ROAD

Two photographs of what was popularly known as the Dogs home, at the corner of Robertson Road and South Road. This was founded by two of the Misses Gregory of Withdean Lodge in the London Road in 1884. It was then known as The Sussex Temporary Home for Lost and Starving Dogs and the original building (see left following) was then almost at the edge of open country.
