SUSSEX STREET AND RICHMOND STREET

Photographs of Sussex Street School on 29 April 1962, not long before they were demolished as part of the Albion Hill redevelopment. These old town schools were built in 1872 soon after the establishment of the Brighton School Board and lasted for 90 years. By their obvious similarities they seem to have been the work of the same architect.
