MOULSECOMBE

Panorama from the Brighton-Lewes railway line, in 1933. On the right the dark roofed houses were part of the South Moulsecombe Council Estate, finished about 1923. Immediately above these, are the houses of Widdicombe Way, which then ended at the hedge before it was continued cross the meadow as Hodshrove Road. The unmade roads beyond are first, Nyetimber Hill, Beech Grove to the left, and Bevendean Crescent. Moulsecombe Schools were built in 1929/1930, and the land and woods in the rear were then part of Hodshrove Farm.
