BRIGHTON GRAMMAR SCHOOL

This photograph was taken at the time of the opening of the school in 1868 and shows the Buckingham Road frontage. The school was founded at 47 Grand Parade, in 1859 and moved to this new building nine years later. In 1913 it moved to the present site in Dyke Road, photographs of which are included in the Hove volumes.
