PANORAMA FROM BUCKINGHAM PLACE

This is the most southerly of the four Bramwell panoramic views from Buckingham Place, about 1875. Two others are shown on the preceding page. The two roads climbing the hill behind St Peters Church are Albion Hill and Richmond Street. It is surprising how much land was then unbuilt on in this very central area. To the left of Hudson’s Depository were such streets as Queen Street, Peel Street and Peel Place, all long since swept away for an extension to the Railway Goods Yard.
