QUEENS ROAD

Above is a photograph showing the window display at the Tailor’s shop of T K Farr and Co., 34 Queens Road in 1935. This family business was started in Trafalgar Street in the 1860’s, moved into Surrey Street, and then to Queens Road in the 1880’s. Study some of the prices, with the aid of a magnifying glass, and compare then with those of the 1970’s.
