BLACK ROCK

The derelict “Daddy-longlegs car moored at the end of the Ovingdean Pier, where it was kept for several years after the line closed down. Finally in 1910 it was sold for scrap, and no doubt the photograph was taken a year or two before then. Note the old narrow coast road.
