WEST BLATCHINGTON

The land mine fell in a field to the right of this lane. In 1938/9 Goldstone Way was started from Nevill Way and 10 houses were built. Building languished for many years after the war and on 24 September 1961, the road still had this rural appearance at its far end. In short time afterwards the scene completely changed and the area was entirely built over.
