QUEEN MARY AVENUE – SANDRINGHAM DRIVE

Two photographs which highlight the tortoise-like progress of building developments in the 1960s and 70s. These photographs were taken on 2 March 1969. This photograph shows the junction of Sandringham Drive and Queen Mary Avenue. Now in January 1974, nearly five years later, the four houses are finished and occupied, while others have been built in the Drive, some occupied and others not, but the two roads are just being made up.
