PORTSLADE

This photograph looks westwards along North Street, period uncertain, but when this was a busy shopping street serving a population that lived in the small neighbouring streets. In the distance is the Baptist Church, now demolished. The area has now been completely depopulated, the shops have gone, and the sites used for industrial purposes.
