CHAIN PIER – THE LAST LINKS

Volks Electric Railway car approaching the Chain Pier from the west. At the Aquarium Terminus the rails were at roughly pavement level, but 100 yards west of the Pier the line dropped at an incline of 1 in 14 to enable the cars to pass underneath.
