EASTERN BRIGHTON – AN AEROPLANE VIEW

This photograph, dating from 1921, shows the sea front from Rock Gardens almost to Kemp Town. There are many points of interest, the large undeveloped area between Queens Park Road and Freshfield Road, and the unenclosed Race Ground with small stands. The allotments at Bakers Bottom beyond Brighton College field. Further east the open land of Manor Farm with a glimpse of the farm cottages. The vast expanse of Whitehawk Valley; beyond the buildings of Wright’s Farm, and in the distance, Warren Farm School.
