MARKET STREET

The extreme end of the north side of this street photographed during 1958. After the removal of the old buildings, 32/38, seen on another page in 1939, the site lay empty for the war years, and or some time after. Thus squat building was then erected, used first by Brighton C.I.D. and then by Brighton Corporation. Together with the Kings Road buildings beyond, and the remains of the old Floral Hall, it was demolished and is now the site of the Ramada Hotel
