AERIAL VIEW OF BRIGHTON & HOVE

This aerial view of Brighton and Hove, thought to date from the summer of 1964 is worth a careful study if only to see which prominent buildings have since been removed. These include the Countess of Huntingdon’s Church, The regent Cinema and Dance Hall, Telephone House, the Towers Building at the top of Queens Road and the bus garage off Edward Street. Younger eyes than mine can doubtless find many others. Western Road and West Street are clearly seen with the clearances for Churchill Square in progress.
