EASTERN ROAD

Just a short distance to the east, this 1880’s photograph of which this is a photocopy, shows recently built houses which although in Eastern Road were then known as Eaton Terrace, presumably from their close proximity to Eaton Place. They still stand here and are now numbered 185/193, Eastern Road. The vacant land on the south side of the road has, of course, since been built on.
