MARINE DRIVE

Traffic free days on Marine Drive. Although these photographs date from the 1950’s they could well have been taken twenty years earlier in the 1930’s so little has changed, due principally to the 1939/1945 war. This photograph taken early in 1958, from outside Marine gate, the photograph looks west to Marine Parade and the Palace Pier. There is just a glimpse of the rear of a trolley Bus in Arundel Street.
