BOND STREET

These photographs of Bond Street Row (left) and Bond Street Cottages (right) were taken on 27 October 1967, when talk of demolitions for a car park were in the air. For many years the buildings up these narrow openings were occupied, those in the Row for business purposes, and the two cottages Nos. 1 & 2, as dwellings. At the time of writing (1981) fourteen years later, the openings are still there, but possibly when the King Street multi-storey car-park is built, there may be some changes in the scene.
