CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD, DYKE ROAD

The ceremony of the laying of the foundation stone of the new Church of the Good Shepherd, in 1920. This was to replace a small iron church, which stood in Dyke Road close to Matlock Road. The new church was opened in 1922 and the parish formed in 1926 out of the parish of Preston.
